Trust and source quality

About the data.

Radius is built for awareness, not certainty. Every source can be incomplete, delayed, or wrong, so we label confidence clearly.

Official CAD

Public computer-aided dispatch listings from a city source. Usually strongest, but locations may still be block-level.

Authorized audio narrative

Licensed scanner audio converted into a cautious narrative when a usable location is heard. AI can misunderstand details.

Area-level source

Public event listings that indicate a broad response area, not an exact address. These are labeled and should not be treated as precise.

Safety rules

Radius uses language like “reported,” “caller reported,” or “units responded.” We do not identify suspects, claim guilt, or replace emergency instructions. If there is immediate danger, call 911.
